Marcel Heister joins Vidi

We are delighted to announce that Marcel Heister will continue his career at our club. 

The 28 year old defender has spent the last three seasons at FTC, having previously played for Beitar Jerusalem, NK Istra, NK Zadar and Hoffenheim II. Marcel Heister, who was born in Germany but also has Croatian ancestry, has made more than 100 appearances in the Croatian first division and 70 in the Hungarian first division.

"I am happy to continue my career in Hungary. My family and I have grown very fond of the country. I would like to thank MOL Fehérvár FC for counting on me for the long term. I look forward to being part of many great successes in Fehérvár in the coming period. I look forward to making my debut for Vidi.” - commented Marcel Heister.

We didn't start from a winning position when we first approached him, because unlike other clubs, we only contacted him at the end of the season after it was announced that he would not be renewing his contract with his previous club. He turned down very serious offers and decided to choose us, which we are very happy about.” - explained Zoltán Kovács, Director of Football.

Marcel Heister will wear the number 55 shirt for Vidi.
